When the hot summer weather arrives, it can be hard to remember that there
are thousands of people who need our help to stay warm in the upcoming months, but your assistance is needed all through
the year, whenever you are able to offer it.
So, with that in mind, please allow me to make a suggestion or two...Rather than working on
big, heavy projects, consider sticking to something smaller. There is a great need for smaller items, such
as gloves, hats, headbands, and bibs, just to name a few. If you'd still prefer to work on a larger project, such as
a blanket, try doing it a little at a time, working with squares or strips. You can join them at a later
time, or send them to a Warming Families volunteer, such as myself, for joining.
You can find links to patterns for many such items on the Patterns page here. Others
may be found on the Warming Families' main site.
